Engineered for Extremes
JD Neuhaus is the worldwide leading manufacturer of air hoists. Jump Media Germany was hired by JDN to produce a 5 minutes long image film, with China being part of it. Bladedge provided a bi-lingual fixer and a camera assistant to travel all the way down to Huai Bei city with all the lights and camera equipment. The location is a coal mine and the crew had to get inside the mine which is 300 meters underneath the ground level. There were strict rules to follow in order to prevent the explosions at such a location that might be with a lot of gas. It was two days of shoot full of fun. The German crew had to kept drinking the local Chinese rice wine at each meal offered by the coal mine leaders, not a easy task but it was great fun!
