Royal Opera House
BladEdge provided support services for a UK crew from Dewynters to shoot these print ads for the Royal Opera House featuring the opera star Liping Zhang. The location was the remote Jiayu Guan Fort at the west end of the Great Wall in the desert of Gansu province.
This shoot was plagued by logistical problems. With Jiayu Guan airport closed to commercial flights due to renovations, BladEdge’s government contacts came into play: we managed to arrange a military plane to fly Liping to the location, and saved her around two days on road! BladEdge also dealt with government shooting permits, location permits, journalist visas, customs clearance, logistics and fixer services.
